Next stop was Cartagena, a beautiful old city along the Spanish Coast ... here the first glimpse from our suite ... the harbour and the castle on top ...
We toured the city on our own ... here entering the main road which was a short walk from the ship ...
... here the "Calle Mayor", the main street of Cartagena ... again blessed with great weather ...
We found this lovely building, a picturesque hotel ...
... and what to do with an empty wall after you demolished a building ... just put some art on it ...
We climbed the top of the mountain with a castle on top and had this beautiful view on the MS Europa, lying in the harbour ...
... and of course a breathtaking view of Cartagena ... here an old Roman Forum!
The three of us on top ... enjoying the sunshine and the wonderful views ...
A lovely picture of Cynthia here ... she's obviously enjoying the tour too ...
... Thomas' mum enjoying the sunshine ...
and finally we had a coffee and Cynthia could follow up her postcard frenzy ;-))
That evening we had a nice dinner at the Lido onboard ... here some night impressions ... Lido (our favourite, because of the casual clothing) at the bottom, the Sansibar on top ...
... and we finished the day off with some drinks in the Clipper's lounge ...
Well to summarise it ... Cartagena really was worth visiting ... it's just a lovely town!
